There and back again...

My finger tips are hardening, going black and are slightly sore... Why?? Cos i been playing my fiddle for hours on end lately and im LOVING it. A shame i never listened to my parents more when i was younger perhaps i could have been better with more lessons?? *sigh* guess thats the punishment one should expect when one doesnt practice!!

But now its soo cool!! I love playing!

Hmmm school starts again this week... not sure im ready to go back yet but i think i say that every term! ;)

Yesterday i must have been nuts! Went all the way to Cowra and back in one day!!
Was a great ride and i think for the first time ever i didnt fall asleep on the way home! A good thing too cos i had to keep the driver awake!

My favourite memory tho would be on the way out there and going through Mt Tomah. It was pretty early and the sun hadnt risen high above the hills. The mist was rising with the heat yet in the denser part of forests it still lingered.
We rounded a bend and shafts of sunlight were filtering through the trunks of tall trees illuminating the mist. Looked almost ghostly but i love it!! I reckon it would make a haunting scene in a movie. Mmmmm with the right soundtrack the atmosphere would be spectacular... *sigh* one of those things to be etched in memories for eternity.

Other things i saw:
A wedge tail eagle diving straight down through the sky into a tree only to swoop away empty footed. At least i didnt see anything it might have caught so whatever it was after must have been thanking its lucky stars their turn was not up... yet!

Moo cows everywhere!! Calves are GORGEOUS!! Cows have beautiful eyes has anyone ever noticed?? They can be a bit daft at times though, just stand there by the roadside and be freaked out by a big metal thing called a car. Sure sets some scampering away a bit ;)

Plenty of sheep too. Though theyre looking a bit dirty what with no rain and all. Bleh they can be awfully silly too!! Jumping over imaginary fences according to one source! And they bleet like nuts when it rains on them! I got witnesses!!

Oh and i saw some donkeys! Made me want to go eehaw! or whatever it is they do :P

Saw apples hanging so heavily on branches in Bilpin known locally as the fruit bowl! Theyd be ready to pick in abt a months time i reckon.

Saw spectacular drops into valleys in the mountains. Amazing! Simply breathtaking!

But yeah despite the nice drive i doubt id be doing that again anytime soon!!

Anyhoo toodleloo im off!
